Dig for Keokuk Geodes at Sheffler’s Rock Shop located at the junction of 61 and 27, 6 miles west of Alexandria or 2 miles south of Wayland.

For visitors aged 12 and up, pay the $25 entry fee which includes up to 50 pounds of geodes. Anything over 50 pounds is $0.75 per pound. Be sure to call during winter months to ensure that the ground is thawed enough to dig.

This site and shop are cash only, and it is recommended to call ahead to make an appointment and remember to bring your tools!
