- ProfileThe Henderson County Gem and Mineral Society is a club based in Henderson County, North Carolina. We are avid Mineral collectors, Rock hounds, workers of the Lapidary Arts, Jewelry Makers, and Gemstone enthusiasts. Our Club meets the third Monday of each month (except December, when we hold our Christmas Party) at the “Public Works” building, 305 Williams Street, Hendersonville, NC, 28792 (Click here for directions). Meeting time is 7:00 PM.
We sponsor field trips, operate a Lapidary workshop for the use of our members, offer Jewelry classes for our members, enjoy a mid-summer picnic, and sponsor an annual Gem and Mineral Spectacular Show over Labor Day Weekend in conjunction with Hendersonville’s Apple Festival.
Are you fascinated by rocks, gems and minerals? Do you enjoy the thrill of finding a unique specimen? Have you always wanted to learn how to make beautiful wearables out of precious and semi-precious stones? Come by our club meetings and see what we’re all about! - Photos
