MGMS was charted in 1958 as a non-profit, educational organization to promote the knowledge and the enjoyment of activities related to the earth sciences. Our activities focus on rocks, minerals, fossils, jewelry making, and lapidary arts.

It’s amazing how diverse this rock hobby is. There’s something for every interest and it’s a hobby that the entire family can enjoy together.
